Funding Organizations
Proposals can be submitted to any funding organization that accepts submissions from United States 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporations, which is the organizational form of Theiss Research (see also Structure). These includes all federal funding agencies of the United States government, listed on grants.gov, and many private foundations (e.g. see Foundation Center).
Personal contacts to program managers at some funding organizations exist already and are of great benefit, as the program managers are already familiar with Theiss Research. Such personal contacts exist to the funding organizations that are currently funding the independent scientists affiliated with Theiss Research, which are:
- US National Science Foundation (see in particular Find Funding)
- Submeta
- Foundational Questions Institute (FQXi) (see in particular FQXi Grants)
Program managers at the following organizations are also aware of Theiss Research and have already encouraged proposal submissions through Theiss Research to them.
- US Department of Energy (see in particular Grants and Contracts)
- NASA
Some funding organizations require organizations to register with their online proposal submission services. Theiss Research is already registered with:
- grants.gov
- Fastlane of the National Science Foundation
- NSPIRES of NASA
