Besides the US student participants, the following researchers have been trained by the Zanzibar Project on the Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS).

Tanzania Fisheries Research Institute (TAFIRI)

Mr. Mahongo was trained on ROMS by Dr. Javier Zavala-Garay during his one-month visit to Rutger's University in July and August 2008, supported by a POGO-SCOR Fellowship (Education).

Ignantio Sanga, Mustafa Garu, Mohamed Makame, and Majuto Manyilizu
Institute of Marine Sciences (IMS), Zanzibar, Tanzania

All four IMS research staff members were trained on ROMS by Gabriela Mayorga-Adame while she was at IMS in Zanzibar from April to July 2007 (Gabriela Mayorga-Adame).
