Note: This project is described by the last paragraph of the abstract. It states that "a U.S. graduate student in physical oceanography will spend three months in Kenya". However, NSF has now kindly granted that the candidate does not have to be a U.S. citizen but should at least be from a U.S. institution, that the candidate can also be a recently graduated student, and that the host institution does not have to be in Kenya but can be anywhere in East Africa.
